💡 What is LegacyVault?

LegacyVault solves the problem of crypto inheritance without the need for lawyers, notaries, or third-party trust.

1

Deposit assets into your personal Vault

Create a Vault and deposit the assets you want to secure for your beneficiary.

2

Set a Heartbeat interval

Configure a "Heartbeat" interval (for example, 6 months) that determines how often you must confirm you are alive.

3

Ping the contract occasionally

"Ping" the contract within the interval to prove you are alive. If you fail to Ping within the interval (due to incapacitation or death), the protocol automatically unlocks the funds for your designated Beneficiary.

Why is it unique?

Unlike traditional wills where assets sit idle, LegacyVault makes your inheritance productive.

💰 Active Growth: Deposited funds are automatically routed to our internal Lending Pool to earn 1% daily compound interest. Your legacy grows while it is being secured.

🚀 Key Features

Why choose LegacyVault over a standard wallet or paper will?

Feature
Description

🛡️ Trustless Security

Non-custodial. Only the code controls the funds, not a company or a lawyer.

🦀 Powered by Rust

Core logic is built using Rust via Stylus, ensuring memory safety and highly efficient execution.

⚡ Ultra-Low Fees

Complex time-calculations and state management are significantly cheaper on Stylus (WASM) compared to standard EVM.

💸 Auto-Compounding

Transparent, on-chain daily interest generation via our Lending Pool.

🛠️ Under The Hood

LegacyVault utilizes a Hybrid Architecture to leverage the best of both worlds:

  • The Brain (Rust): Handles the core Dead Man's Switch logic (Heartbeat, Pings, Claims).

  • The Bank (Rust): Manages the Lending Pool and interest calculations.

  • The Printer (Solidity): Uses the EIP-1167 Factory pattern to cheaply clone contracts for new users.
